    We had our system installed 3 years ago in Nov. 08 and had no problems ever, until 3 months before our contract was to expire. Our system stopped sending signals to Monitronics and when we called, the dealer that installed was out of business. They had no way to get our service working again unless we had to pay someone full price to come in and fix it. Our home went unprotected for 3 months so we stopped payment on the last 3 months of the bill. Now they call and want the money and say they have someone who can come fix it for free as long as we renew another 3 year contract. Are they insane? You can’t help when we need it most but now since you didn’t get 3 months of the 3 year contract you want us back? Not only that but they call our friends and relatives looking for us for the 3 month payment that you could have had if you didn’t breach the contract. In one case even carried out a conversation with a minor to find out where we could be located. Isn’t that also illegal?? I would never recommend Monitronics to anyone. Not even my worst enemy would I curse this company on. Truly the worst company and customer service I have ever dealt with!!! I recommend you stay far away from this company that cares nothing about its customers but instead about that piece of paper!

    I am getting several calls per day from a spam-bot claiming to offer Monitronics services, despite my being on the do not call list and my requests to stop the calls. The caller does not take “no” for an answer, and my direct emails to Monitronics have been ignored. The originating number is **. I have never done business with Monitronics and as a result of their calls will never do so in the future. Funding Monitronics is supporting intrusive robo-calling.

    I’ve been paying service for a house that I sold three years ago. This company, when they want to sell you something, they treat you the nicest. When you try to cancel services that you don’t need, they make your life difficult. No transaction can be done over the phone and they make you send a letter in the mail. Horrible experience. Do not buy their service, read the contracts.
